okay, sorry about the quality of this pic, but have you ever tried to keep a mouth open, move a tongue, move a lip, and take a picture at the same time? I was just happy he did not bite me (which he is still doing, not so cute with teeth now). The Scott genes are strong in him!!!

Ethan has stopped sleeping through the night. He wakes up almost every hour now, wanting food. It is not like we are not feeding him enough!! He must be going through a growth spert. Either way, he was only in his jumper for a minute, and then it got real quite. I looked over and he was passed out!! We put him to bed and he must have taken a 3 hour nap...

Easter

Since we are in Houston, we had a small Easter. It is my favorite holiday, so we had to do something for it. Yes that is a camo basket! We went to church early in the morning, came home and I started Easter Dinner. I cooked a ham for the guys (sales guys, and my guys). It turned out really good!! All in all, it was a good Easter, even though it was away from home!

Ethan figured out how to sit up a few days before his 5 month birthday. As you can tell he was very proud of himself!! He started hitting the floor with his right hand and quickly learned that was an easy way to fall over! He still can not get up himself, but once he does, he is able to stay up. He can even bend over and pick stuff up off the floor.

This was the first time Ethan had food. At least what I thought was rice. Turns out, we think it was oatmeal, which he ended up liking, and he will not eat rice for anything. Which reminds me, we have a box of Beechnut Rice for anybody interested!!!

Glad at least someone is getting some sleep!!

He used to fit in there!!!

Baby's first Christmas

He is only a month in this picture!! I never had a "cute little baby" I popped out a Kindergartner!!!

Surprise!!

So, Luke had already left for Houston, and after a month of him being gone, I was still trying to get over the "flu" that I thought I had. I walked into my office one day and Bill looked at me and said your pregnant!! I told him no, I was not, and I would be fine if I could just get over being sick. He kinda laughed, and dropped it for about another week. I still was not feeling better, so I thought it would be a good idea to fly 4 hours, and see Luke. By this time I had already taken a dozen pregnancy tests, and they were all coming back negative. After Luke saw how sick I was, I think he finally believed me, and told me to take one more when I got home. I got one of the digital ones, and finally, I was pregnant!!! I was sick for most of the pregnancy, and was on high risk since I could not keep any weight on me. I was loosing weight, but was getting bigger!! On November 25, 2008, we welcomed our son, Ethan-Alexander Ray Lucas. He was huge!!! 9 lbs, 5.2 ounces, 22 inches long. He has not slowed down on his growth yet!!!

First Kiss

On February 16 2008, Luke and I got married in the Lucas orchard, in Durham California. It is his late Grandfathers almond orchard. His Grandmother was kind enough to allow us to marry there. We were hoping the trees would be in bloom, but they weren't. We got a letter from his grandmother a little after the wedding saying it only took about a week and the trees were in full bloom. Dan, Luke's cousin and BF, was the minister. The biggest surprise was I was the one who suggested it. I knew with as much of a family man as he is, and how much he loves his wife Darci, he would be great! And he was!!

The day it started!

Luke has a good way of really annoying me, and he was trying his hardest this day. He had decided the best way to propose to me would be to make me mad at him (logical right?) Soo... after a long day of fighting, we went and fed the ducks. He proposed to me after a couple hours of me trying my hardest not to talk to him, let alone look at him. He made up for it with the ring though! ~funny thing about my diamond, it was cut on the day we met~
